Intro to basic hip hop dance and fundamentals This class will help students develop skills such as coordination, rhythm, and teamwork. (SD)

Tap classes are designed to develop rhythm, style and sound. Students will learn a variety of tap styles from Broadway to Rhythm tap. Exercises focus on building flexibility of the knee and ankles, coordination, and speed of movement. The class emphasis is on developing proper tap technique, producing clear tap sounds, and having fun. As students progress through each level, the curriculum will become increasingly more complex and intricate. (SD)

Students will learn the latest styles of street dancing and traditional hip hop. Classes will encourage students to step outside of the box by bringing their own individual style and personality to the movements. Hip Hop dance requires students to have the strength and stamina to successfully perform moves. Therefore class includes upper and lower body conditioning and warm-ups to help prepare students for more intense movements. (SD)

Poms Dance is a fun and energetic style of dance that incorporates Jazz techniques, Hip Hop, and Cheer while integrating the use of Pom Poms. Students will learn basic Poms dance movements using upbeat music in a fun environment. Poms will be provided. (SD)

In this program, students will learn a range of classical and contemporary music compositions. The program will acquaint students with the French language and introduce them to classical ballet. Ballet Barre exercises will be used. Students will develop body coordination while learning to dance with a group. Various creative movement exercises will be used to encourage the student’s ability to express their individuality within the discipline of dance. (SD)

Jazz dance combines techniques of classical ballet and modern dance with current forms of popular dance. Classes include warm up, isolations, stretches, across the floor progressions, and choreography combinations. These classes are for dancers who like precision and rhythm, physical challenges, and personal style and expression. Exercises focus on increasing flexibility and strength, rhythms and isolation of body parts, and expressing personal style. (SD)

Gymnasts will learn the fundamentals and basic skills of Gymnastics on all four apparatuses - Vault, Bars, Beam, and Floor. Students will gain: flexibility, strength, balance and self-confidence. (KB)

INVITATION FROM COACH ONLY. Gymnasts continue to master Gymnastics 1 skills with an emphasis on technique as well as learn more difficult skills on all four apparatuses. Gymnasts must advance or have permission from an instructor prior to registering for this class. (KB)

INVITATION FROM COACH ONLY. Lemont Gymnastics Team is a year-round program that competes in the Illinois Park District Gymnastics Conference (IPDGC). During the session, we will be training to compete in the Optionals season from January through May following the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) rules. The IPDGC provides gymnastics competitions with participating park districts. It is a great way to prepare your gymnast for High School Gymnastics. (SB)

These Programs will focus on development of coordination, balance, and agility. A fun new tennis experience for the youth. The Program will use Youth sized courts, Red and Orange balls and equipment. Led by Fencing Master Marek P. Stepien, Olympian (Barcelona 1992) and Mr. James Zubeck. Safety will always be stressed through fencing coach. Fencing is an excellent mental exercise and increases focus and concentration as well as improves strategic thinking and decision-making skills. Each student must have his or her own private fencing equipment. All tournament fees extra. All fencers should register with USA Fencing and have a membership. (PF)

The all-skill clinic will cover all aspects of the game of volleyball including but not limited to attacking, passing, serving, setting, and game play! We emphasize proper technique and development of the skill for all players. Regardless of the volleyball experience level your child is at, we will help them get to the next level. No previous knowledge of tennis is necessary. Classes will consist of teaching fundamentals of tennis and then playing fun games and modified games using the fundamental principles of tennis that were taught.
